I want to warn agencies from sending their models to Maxmodel China. Unfortunately I did send three of my models there. The girls worked but they've been cheated at every turn. They were not paid the full amounts due, their rates have been reduced and incorrect deductions applied. As the mother agency I have not been paid my commission. Sharon Yuen from Maxmodels stopped replying to my emails. She's not on Skype even though she'd been on at all times before. I assume she blocked me. She's not replying to FB messages either. I've been requesting my commission many times. If you don't want to fall prey to that agency, don't work with them. It's not worth your time and models. Here are the full details of that agency:

Paramount Agency China - bad experience

Dear Lili Allen,

How are you? I am writing you from a small Mother Agency from Eastern Europe and would love to share a very bad experience with you, maybe could help for many others:

We sent out a girl called Natalia to China (Hang Zhou) to an Agency called Paramount Agency (owner called Yang Lanying, director called Noveya) through a scouter called TRIX (from MDU scouting / Mode du Models scouting) this October with a net guarantee contract. We had many many requests for the girl (she worked at many markets before, including Singapore, Malaysia, Hongkong, China, Bangkok, Seoul etc so a very experienced girl with strong book, perfect english and good personality) but we sent her to this chinese agency only because they offered higher guarantee than others and we wanted to make it sure she will come back with good money in her pocket.

At the end the trip was a nightmare. First of all this agency is very bad, they have 1-2 castings per day but many times they don't have any casting. The owner of the agency doesn't speak well english. (as Trix, the scouter said, he did not forward my mails to her because she speaks very bad english and will not understand it!!!!)

After 1,5 Month (when the contract was close to the end) they started to complain about stupid reasons, the typical chinese tricky games ... First they said the girl is fat. I was very surprized as the girl was never fat, she has 85-86 hips. The day after I asked my girl to make some snaps from herself and send me in order to see is she really fat or not. Of course she was in perfect shape, she was 86 hips on that day. After I sent the pola to Trix to prove the chinese agency lies.
Than Trix wrote me the girl can not work because she is RUDE with the owner of the agency (who doesn't speak english ...) and with the other models at the agency. (who are her friends and all of them were very upset about the situation at this agency)
Of course it is also not true as the girl worked on 8 markets before and nobody never said she would be rude with anybody. I talked to her on skype and all her room mates told me they love my girl and it is also not true.

After that when I proved again our right, TRIX (the scouter) wrote me they do not want to pay out her guarantee, because her statement is in minus and the agency "already spent a lot of money on her so they don't want to pay more" ...
When i wrote him back this is not our problem, they offered a guarantee contract in what there wasn't any point how much jobs or how much money she should complete for the guarantee and the girl was in shape and was on time in every single casting (which was not too much organized by this agency) than he simply wrote me back that I should be calm as it happens very often in this business that they offer guarantees and at the end just don't pay it out (so do not keep their word and the rules written in the contract) if the girl doesn't work well. (so they pay out the guarantee only if the girl really can make the guaranteed money, otherwise not ... it is a very correct guarantee contract right? and they offer huge guarantees in order to get good girls and at the end they just simply do not pay it out and ignore the girl's and the mother agency's emails)

After this email I wrote them 3 more where I citated the contract and prove my right and asked about our money, but they even did not send me a statement, we even did not get the 10% of her REAL gross (so even not from the jobs she really made) and the worst: they even did not answer to our emails.

After 3 weeks of waiting and 3 emails wrote to the owner/director + Trix I realized that we can not do anything else, they have stolen our money and ignore our emails so I decided, that if we can not do anything else, at least I will inform everybody in this business I know to take care of this agency and take care of Trix who was incredibly annoying how he handled the situation.

Pls post this story on your blog to help other models and agencies to avoid this situation.
I put my model Natalia in CC so this way she can also prove the story is true.

If you need anything else (like contract, polas from the girl, or emails from Trix where he says "they will not pay out the money because the girl simply did not work enough and this happens very often in this business" ... I have everything, just let me know if you need anything else.

My model is in Bangkok already and working well so the situation is already closed and with this letter I also closed from our side and learned the lesson unfortunately.

Just want all models/agencies DON'T work with them, it's Serdar Sarica... Dangerous people and they don't pay models at the end and neither mother agencies %.

 

They are  coming in models apart even not ringing the buzzer and checking all the time if models are there. And most Dangerous thing, they are trying all the time to "flirt" with girls in a sleazy way and from what you can read on this blog seam be even worst (when you read about the post of Monday 22 April, 2013).. when you read about the czech girl... 

 
In contact they use even names similar to the director of the other biggest  danish agency (where they copied even the text on web)...Stefan Bente international booker is Serdar Sarica..

The way to manage the scam is Always the same.. new name of agency-new website-fake pictures stolen from mother agencies (which don't know about it) and asking to other mother agencies to send girls there (promising more % and many jobs..) ...everything with  fake agent' names .. but on the back of this is still Serdar Sarica. 
 

Please I ask all the agencies/models to check girls on the web and verify with other mother agencies .

Also verify the past of agents who opened these new agencies in Istanbul.

And control on Facebook page the models added and ask them how is the agency.

 

I hope this people will be stopped.

Ik heb gehoord dat mijn naam werd gebruikt bij de site van nextmodelsmanagement istanbul. Ik heb met Serdar Sarica paar maanden gewerkt (nooit ontmoet) binnen 4 maanden ben ik achter gekomen dat hij een grote oplichter is in istanbul. Alle beloftes wat hij noemde nooit nagekomen. Ik heb zelf vliegtickets van 2 modellen betaald maar nooit die bedragen terug ontvangen. Gelukkig geen andere rare dingen gebeurd. Hij gebruikt nog steeds mijn naam op een van hem website. Hij is niet meer bereiken met tel of mail adres. Ik raad niemand samen met hem te werken. Hij is niet gevaarlijk maar wel een oplichter.

New Icon Model Management (Mexico)

Hi!
I read your blog and wanted to say Im really glad that somebody has the guts to say whats really going on.
So I feel I should add my story as well:
I went to New Icon Models in Mexico. The owner is Pablo Anton.
He has some bipolar problems and changes his mind constantly. This means he will not care about contracts or agreements.
In the agency there are only 3 people working there! He, a scouter and a secretary/accountant.
Though he has some of the best models in Mexico, this doesn't mean he takes care of them or really try to get you jobs.
It seems there are microphones at the apartment cause he always knows EVERYTHING we say.
He will steal money from every job you have, and will fake YOUR signature in campaign contracts so you never know how much money they are really paying you.
You will never see a contract from jobs, not even a receipt for a visa he says he is doing for you, and that costs 7000 pesos, and you'll never get to see.
He will promise great jobs like Vogue editorials, campaigns, etc. Specially to drag you in the agency or either not letting you go.
If you are sick and miss a casting he will not only send his secretary to make sure you are sick, but also fine you for a thousand pesos AND leave you without pocket money (though the contract says he has to pay you every week).
The pocket money is so low, you'll be forced to do image in nightclubs to buy food for the weekend.
Some girls (few girls) work just fine, and don't have many problems. But the 98% of the other girls suffer the lack of professionalism.
It is a living hell! A constant stress and unhappiness.
Every person in that agency are liars!! He will lie to your mother agency and tell EVERYONE you are NOT a professional model.
You can't trust ANYBODY. Not the best relationship you should have with your agent..

Agency horror story - Shakir or Damanagement in Istanbul

Don't think that sexual predators limit themselves to young female models!

Shakir or Damanagement in Istanbul is a pervert. He lured guys into his agency by promising the world, only to confiscate your passport and threaten to report you or kick you out of his agency unless you go to his house (alone late at night). Also, if you want an editorial or a well paying job he will organise it only in exchange for sexual compensation. He has previously ruined the reputations of numerous agencies in turkey with these actions. So please, if you want to go to Turkey there are some very good agencies and very good jobs but make sure you get a word of mouth recommendation. Try and find their models through their facebook page and contact the, to see if they are happy.

There is nothing more frightening for anyone than to be trapped in a foreign country where English is barely spoken, have your passport taken and be bribed into sexual favours! I suggest keep your passport very well guarded in any country and get out at the first sign on discomfort.

Most models are working illegally in turkey and therefore they do not have to honour their contract, and neither do you or they get fined for employing foreigners with out a permit.

Anyone who has experienced this type of sexual assault, I urge you to write to the consulate in your home country and report it!

Never send models to Trendy model management in Turkey. They dont pay the models and they dont pay MAC, they still owe money to one of our models and our commission for 4 models, I dont think they will ever pay

George carter labels : he was the director of the agency SUM in Jakarta , we booked a model with them under guarantee contract. When the 3months were almost ending the agency informed us that they didn’t want to pay the guarantee to the model ‘cause she had jobs and they believed that the guarantee should have been paid only if the model didn’t do any job……NO COMMENT …. We explained how a guarantee contract works and when the model left they gave her 2/3 of the guarantee and they promised to send her the rest by western union after 1 month…this never happened…..

Now George works for another agency in Jakarta , the name should be HITZ Management.

So I wanted to warn you on both this men and SUM I suggest you don’t send models to them ‘cause they are not serious.

Joy Models Istanbul ex Next Models ex Cosmo Models

Hello There,

Do not work with Joy Models Istanbul it's just the same owner of Next Models (just closed) and same owner of Cosmo Models (ex Next Models) Serdar the owner is opening new agencies and using a fake email to contact models and agencies so they can't recognize him. What he does is to get models and not pay them and the mother agencies and then once the name of his agency gets bad as Cosmo Models and Next Models he close it and opens a new one. So if you know already how bad Cosmo models and Next Models are do not work with Joy Models Istanbul. This guy is a cheater and very dishonest.

COSMO MODELS EX NEXT MODELS (Turkey - Istanbul)

This is XX owner of XX Models in Ukraine.

I feel responsible to warn and inform you about COSMO MODELS in Turkey to be very careful with this Agency and do not working with them.

The owner and director of this Agency is Serdar Sarica, the Agency is new at the market.
Maybe you already received their thousands of e-mails pushing to get Models from you by promising you many things, by pretending how special and good they are and many others. Be careful because nothing of this is true.
This is simply the next new amateur Turkish Agency.

We had the bad luck to trust to their big talking and the main reason why we placed our Models was because of the good fix salary (guarantee contract) which they offered.
This was Our mistake to trust to this guarantee which we never could get after all...this is one of their tactics.

They totally not attend any contract rules, always lie and as an end never paid any money to any of the Models.
Firstly they give you a lot of recommendation and suggest good guaranty conditions, but after contract expired they promise to pay bit
later and after this than telling that they already paid all and
You
can`t do nothing.

Also He always lie different things.
I am not telling the details for the low paid jobs, jobs for internet and bad conditions, bad treatment to models and not informing anything by professional way.

They also didn’t paid to Models and Agencies from Poland, Latvia, Ukraine and Russia.

Please, be most carefully with this person.
He still didn’t paid $4000 for my Models and $3500 for Models from Oks Model Agency as well for our Mother Agency commissions.

I am always ready to give you all detail and answer to all question.

NEXT MODELS (Turkey - Istanbul)

Hello,
Do you remember my warning e-mail regarding COSMO MODELS in Istanbul? Now you have to be careful as they renamed to NEXT MODELS/www.nextmodelmgmt.com (fake Next Models, I also spoke to Next Models Network they are aware of the situation).
This guy Serdar Sarica is now representing his self as David Heller.
For in case I am attaching again the previous story about Cosmo Models. Remember now Cosmo Models is hiding under new name Next Models. 
This Agency was very harmful for me and many other Agencies and we are keep following on them and will always keep updating you for their new names as much as we can.

About ice model mgmt istanbul:
- don´t pay (one girl made 16000usd and left istanbul with 250usd)
- change models flight without his/her agreement
- one girl stayed here without visa, she escaped in the middle of the night
- whatever you ask the agency, the answer is always: it´s not possible
- the apartments are very dirty, disgusting and small (2 apartments are in a very bad area)
- too many models (4 apartments with 6 to 9 beds)
- models are not allowed to leave when the ticket to go home is too expensive
- at some castings the clients told the models they don´t want to work with ice models anymore because they know about the models situation: the owner takes not just 40% of the gage, he takes much more (half of the half which is for the model) models are not allowed to talk at jobs about the money they get
all in all: ice model mgmt treats you like shit!

I work as a model. If some model ask about Perfect models in Turkey, pls. let them know then is really bad agency. They dont have many castings and contacts. Never direct booking job.. The boss leave in the same house with a models. he was going in underwear around the house. and models can going out just with him and him male friends... really terrible.. thanks

hello! i can also confirm you that life model management dubai does not pay and gives empty promises. the owner is also a bit crazy and wanted to take models to social events all time and if someone did not like to go the owner, billie mobayed, tried to put pressure on the girl(the owner got quite drunken every time she went). the published pictures for her portfolio from the magazin shoots the model had to organise by herself and the test shoot pictures she never got, not from the agency and also not from the owners photographer friend.
